It was a shame we didn&#039;t have more time in SF; although we weren&#039;t gobsmacked by it at the time, the more I think about now it the more I think we missed a trick by not staying longer. Maybe one of your own sites will convince me!</description>

		<description>Nice piece on San Francisco. Next time try the San Remo Hotel. It too is in North Beach. It&#039;s old, cheap and distinctive. Was built to house Italians just after the 1906 Earthquake, and has been kept up nicely. I&#039;m afraid a &quot;few touristy days&quot; isn&#039;t going to reveal a hell of a lot more than tour sights. But there&#039;s lots more to be had and to be revealed. If you want the real San Fran dirt, noir and all, check out my two sites:
